Privacy Policy
Last updated: April 18, 2026
Nest Pest Control ("we," "us," or "our") respects your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect when you use our website and services, how we use it, and the choices you have. By using our site or services, you agree to this policy.
1. Information We Collect
We collect information you provide directly to us, including:
- Contact details: name, email address, phone number, and service address.
- Service request details: descriptions of pest issues, property size, urgency, and preferred start dates.
- Photos you upload (e.g., "Snap a Pest" submissions), which may include images of your property or surroundings.
- Payment information: processed by our third-party payment processor (Stripe). We do not store full card numbers on our servers.
- Account credentials if you create an account (email and a hashed password).
- Minimal technical data needed to operate the site (e.g., IP address and basic request logs from our hosting provider for security and reliability). We do not run analytics or marketing trackers on this site, and we do not use cookies for advertising or cross-site tracking.
2. How We Use Your Information
- To schedule, perform, and follow up on pest control services.
- To process payments and send booking confirmations and receipts.
- To respond to inquiries and provide customer support.
- To send service-related notifications (e.g., appointment reminders).
- To improve our services, website, and customer experience.
- To comply with legal obligations, including pest control recordkeeping required by North Carolina regulations.
3. How We Share Information
We do not sell your personal information. We share information only with:
- Service providers who help us operate our business — including payment processing (Stripe), email delivery, hosting, and infrastructure providers.
- Our certified technicians who need address and service details to perform the work.
- Authorities when required by law, subpoena, or to protect our legal rights.
4. Photos You Submit
Photos uploaded through "Snap a Pest" or other forms are used to identify pest issues and prepare for service. We may retain them as part of your service record. We will not publish identifiable photos of your property for marketing or promotional purposes without your prior permission. Please avoid including images of other people, license plates, or sensitive information.
4a. Calls, Texts & SMS Consent
When you provide your phone number, you agree that we may contact you by call or text about your account, appointments, service updates, and related transactional messages. Message and data rates may apply, and message frequency varies. You can opt out of marketing texts at any time by replying STOP to any message; reply HELP for help. Opting out of marketing does not stop essential service-related communications (such as appointment confirmations). We do not sell or share your phone number with third parties for their own marketing.
5. Data Retention
We retain customer records, service history, and related photos for as long as needed to provide services, comply with regulatory recordkeeping requirements, resolve disputes, and enforce our agreements. You can request deletion of your account and associated data at any time, subject to legal retention obligations.
6. Security
We use reasonable administrative, technical, and physical safeguards to protect your information, including encryption in transit and access controls. No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
7. Your Choices
- You may update your account information from your account page.
- You may unsubscribe from marketing emails using the link in any email.
- You may request access, correction, or deletion of your personal information by contacting us.
8. Children's Privacy
Our services are not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them.
9. Changes to This Policy
We may update this policy from time to time. Material changes will be posted on this page with a new "Last updated" date.
