Our commitment

Nest Pest Control is committed to making our website and booking experience usable by everyone, including people with disabilities. We aim to conform to the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 Level AA.

Scope

This statement applies to nestpestcontrol.net, including the booking, account, and Snap-a-Pest experiences.

Measures we take

• Semantic HTML with proper landmarks and heading hierarchy
• Descriptive alt text on meaningful images
• Visible keyboard focus rings on all interactive elements
• "Skip to content" link for keyboard users
• Form fields with associated labels and required-field indicators
• Inline form errors programmatically linked to inputs via aria-describedby and aria-invalid, and announced to screen readers with role="alert"
• Photo upload limits (10 MB) and file-type errors surfaced inline with role="alert" — not just toast notifications
• Color contrast tuned to meet AA (4.5:1 for body text)
• Respect for the prefers-reduced-motion setting — scroll-reveal animations are disabled for users who request reduced motion
• Granular cookie banner: separate controls for essential, analytics, and marketing categories so you can opt in only to what you want
• Compatibility with screen readers (VoiceOver, NVDA, JAWS, TalkBack) via semantic markup and ARIA labels on icon-only buttons
• Mobile-friendly responsive layouts and touch targets
• Self-service data tools: download a JSON export of your data or delete your account from Account → Delete account

Known limitations

Despite our best efforts, some areas may not yet be fully accessible:

• Stripe Checkout: Our payment page is hosted by Stripe. Their accessibility is outside our direct control. If you have trouble paying, call us and we'll process payment manually.
• Customer-uploaded photos: Photos uploaded through Snap-a-Pest do not have descriptive alt text. Captions you write in the description field are read aloud by screen readers.
• Third-party maps & embeds: Some embedded content from third parties may not fully meet AA.
